L' Hotel le Yogu's est très confortable. Chambres spacieuses et aménagées avec soin. Le personnel est très accueillant et se rend disponible facilement. Un grand merci à Ashwin qui a su nous organiser notre voyage arrivée, départ, excursions, transferts ferrys et s adapter à notre groupe de 10 personnes. This is the best place to stay in the entire Andaman islands. Rooms : neat and clean, very comfortable (5/5) Service: exceptional. Right from the moment we arrived, they welcomed us at the jetty as well as at the hotel. Kudos to the girl at reception, anisha. She was absolutely everywhere. Helping us book a motor boat to nearby places, taking orders for food, cleaning, serving and everything with a smile. Even served us complimentary desserts. These people go to every extent to make your stay extra comfortable and your vacations worthwhile. (6/5) And they are not that pricey. Value for money without a doubt. Food was good. Maybe improved in some aspects (4.5/5) If anyone is considering long island in their itinerary, you can book yogus with your eyes closed ~ Shivam M

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Yogu’s Woodside. The hospitality provided by the staff was truly exceptional. Stayed here for three nights over Christmas. Long Island was our favourite place while travelling for two weeks in The Andamans. We wished we had stayed another 1-2 nights. The village is very small, shady with big trees and very relaxed and friendly with only a few tourists. The walk to Lalaji bay is very beautiful (but takes about 1.5 hours). And Lalaji bay was the best beach we have found in the Andamans (quiet and good for swimming and snorkeling). Yogus is right on the village square. Seaside rooms which we stayed in have a nice view over the square and to the sea. The guest house is very new and modern and the food was very good. Best of all was the friendly team working at Yogus. They made everything run smoothly and efficiently and can help you book tickets to and from the island or for day trips. ~ Steve S

I didn't reside here, but ate most nights within their restaurant. Great staff. Outstanding food which was very well priced....and very very tasty. I miss this type of place, quiet but they'll pull out all stops even if there's only one person there to eat. I'd normally walk down mid afternoon and confirm a table, and at the same time order my food for later that evening. Fantastic food, fantastic amount and at times I had a feast on my table!! Their biryani is fantastic as is all their food. My favourite egg curry was amazing and after the first few nights I seemed to always have that as part of my meal. Wonderful place to eat, happy friendly staff and a pleasure to be part of their life during my 11 night visit to the island. ~ DC M

We saw the rooms but unfortunately we cannot stay as we have already booked 3 nights in 2 different forest guest houses and 1 night in another place there . Well , after our experience in the forest guest houses and the other accommodation,I highly recommend to book in this place for different reasons . The staff is amazing, polite, helpful. The food is tasted and the place is clean and quiet. The forest guest houses are the same price as this beautiful hotel . If you go to the forest guest house in Lalaji beach, get ready to pay 7000 rupees per night plus food . The location is unique but that’s the price for foreigners. So don’t complicate your life and book straight away in Yogu’s Woodside. ~ Estefanía G

Wir übernachteten 2 Nächte in der Unterkunft. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bett bequem. Die Klimaanlage hat reibungslos funktioniert und auch das Badezimmer hatte einen sehr guten Standard. Man kann den Wäsche-Service in Anspruch nehmen, hat auch gut geklappt. Auch das Essen in der Unterkunft hat super gut geschmeckt und es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gerichten. Insgesamt sind wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt! ~ Laura D

Warm Hospitality by the Beach – A Hidden Gem in Long Island I had a wonderful stay at Yogu’s in Long Island. The property itself is beautiful, with a lovely cricket ground and the beach just beyond it, creating a very peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The rooms and amenities are brand new, clean, and well maintained. However, what truly makes this place special is the warm hospitality. From the very first phone call to make the booking, to every single person assisting at the guesthouse, everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful. This resort should be a reason for more people to travel to long island. The only good, clean resort on long island. Very new property built in 2024, located near the jetty. The staff were mainly locals and exceptionally helpful. I had the best food in entire Andamans during the stay at Yogu's woodside. And the owner is very helpful. He helped plan my entire trip from Havelock to Baratang to port blair for a very reasonable lump sum amount. It was because of him I could enjoy many less popular places in middle Andaman without any hassle! If anyone is planning to explore middle Andaman or long island then definitely recommend Yogu's woodside resort for stay! ~ Gaurav K

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful Manager, Receptionist, Cook and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Once you reached at the jetty, they will take care of your every needs. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had our meals. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future in fact we are going again during the month of January, 2026. I highly recommend it! ~ ASIM J

If you are my kind of person who likes quiet, calm, less commercial and no noisy touristy spot then Long Island is the ideal place. One has nothing to do except lazy walks by the beach (almost empty) and treks via thick forest vegetation and end the day watching a mesmerizing sunset. Crowning glory now is the stay at Yogu’s woodside a quaint lodging with basic amenities but pretty spacious room and balcony with sea view. Hot shower, very clean room and attentive friendly staff. The food was tasty and simple but the chef was open to make small tweaks as per request. Well done. Go and stay at Yogu’s woodside if you are writer, lyricist, or just for soul searching! ~ priya n

We had a wonderful time at Yogu's Woodside Resort. The seclusion was exactly what my wife and I needed. Even in such beautiful isolation, Yogu's had all the amenities that one could wish for. Our room was perfect with a balcony that looked out to aged, neem trees with fragrant orchids hanging from them, and beyond the trees, the sea! The food was excellent; the staff very helpful. Boat trips can be organised through the resort's help for nearby islands (Guitar and Merk Bay) and also to Lalaji Bay Beach. I will certainly recommend to stay here if someone is visiting long island. The onwer of the hotel, Ashwin ensures to guide you properly while planning to this non- commercial island. Staff was helpful in all the ways from arranging transport to nearby places to make sure you get what you asks for. Ashwin arranged stargazing session for our group and it was an amazing experience with modern equipments. On the top of all this, you get really great food at reasonable price which is rare at Andaman islands. The only con I felt that the rooms don't have electric kettle but that's not a show stopper. ~ Bhisham B

It is a super nice property. Long island is slightly off the beaten track. But once you reach there, it is an unexplored paradise. The property has a large open grass covered ground in front, which is ideal for children and at night time the perfect place to sit down with a drink and engage into the perfect night sky. The major tourist attraction is Lalaji Beach, which can either be reached by boat ride of 30 minutes or the more adventurous ones can opt for a car ride followed by a 15 minute trek. The pristine Beach is free of unwanted noisy tourist and is a perfect place for a family lunch and swim. ~ Pradeep K

Yogu's Woodside is a hidden gem in a remote location. The property is hand curated tastefully with the best of furnishings & fixtures. The location is spell binding. The beach is serene & calm, at a walking distance from the resort it adds to the charm. The view from the front facing rooms is simply amazing. The resort staff are enthusiastic, helpful, honest and lovable; they give you a feeling of being in a home away from home. Wifi connectivity is brilliant. All the rooms are equipped with internet TVs. Soft drinks are available in the dining hall. Food is delicious and hygienically prepared. ~ Samrita G

I really liked the attitude of the hotel owner to its visitors. Agrees, helps, suggests, solves your questions. The transfer was organized. They greet you kindly and serve cold juice. The rooms are clean, well-kept, new. The view from the room is beautiful. Everywhere is clean, quiet. Long Island has the best beach among the Andaman Islands. There is a scenic hiking trail to Lalaji bay. You can also get there by jeep, by boat, by scooter. They cook delicious food, but I would like the menu to be more varied and European-oriented. In general, we liked everything. We'll be back for sure ~ Rustam G
